Saseondae in Imsil

Around 2,000 years ago,

two immortals from Unsu Mountain in Imsil and two from Maisan Mountain

in Jinan were said to be enjoying themselves by the picturesque banks of the Owon River in Gwanchon, Imsil,

enchanted by the beautiful, screen-like landscape.

Suddenly, four celestial maidens appeared, escorting them,

and then vanished without a trace...

Since then, it is said that every year,

the four immortals and the maidens return to this spot to revel

in the breathtaking scenery before disappearing once more.
